About the tool

Planet-friendly diet is a publication prepared for teachers and educators with activities and lessons plans on the intersection of food, climate and biodiversity. It focuses on the importance of planet-based diets and our environmental footprints. It contains two lessons plans dedicated to primary schools. The first one is about food production and distribution. It focuses on influence of different types of food production on environment and also on local food products. Workshop participants are involved for example in finding local equivalent for exotic products. The second workshop plan is about different diets, also planetary health diet, and food lost and waste. The publication also contains a proposal of homework – an activity in which children try to find ideas how to help planet by saving food in their homes from being wasted.
