Urban Food System Toolkit For Cities
Back

TCA

Political recommendations for food system transformation based on value chain impacts.

About the tool

True Cost Accounting is part of WWF’s programme on sustainable consumption and production (SCP), Future Food Together, funded by the International Climate Initiative and led by WWF-Germany. This is a tool to better understand the impacts of food systems, address the most harmful practices, and find new, positive pathways forward. By evaluating all the impacts—both positive and negative—inherent in different value chains and making these impacts transparent, decision-makers can make better informed decisions that consider the economic, environmental and social impacts, develop political strategies and apply political instruments accordingly.

What type of city is this for?

German and Adaptable.

How can your city use this tool?
